A Dark Night A Dark NightA Dark Night
I go to my window I slide open the shutters and climb out into the cold summer night I hold a rope in my hands The rope looks like a lasso
But it will be used for a much darker purpose tonight I rap the end of the rope around a tree limb The looped end hangs just abovethe ground, just high enough that my feet won't be able to touch
I put a box underneath my noose and I cilmb on top
I adjust the rope so it fits just right Then I kick the box so i am no longer standing on it
I feel the rope restrict around my neck After awhile of hanging it ge

Evil things lurk in the shadows

Always making me hurt and sad But I don’t show these on the outside
No, on the outside I smile, so as not to worry the people I care about
But on the inside I’m depressed
On the inside I have a swirling turmoil of emotions
That I keep bottled up Sometimes though, I slip and my emotions come falling out in a great bundle My friends and family probably don’t care though
